Hey!
Iām Steven, an artist living in Toronto. My work is a unique blend of mediums, but I primarily work with resin, embedded with paper and more to create distinctive three-dimensional works where the art is both coming out of the frame and drawing you deeper into its layers.
Growing up in Cleveland, I was constantly making things as a child, building and creating with whatever was around me, from Legos to old shoe boxes turned into cities. I spent my summers taking art classes instead of going to summer camp.
Throughout my early twenties, while searching for the correct career path for myself, I neglected my artistic talents. I spent years creating art as a hobby, sketching in my free time and occasionally painting. I turned back to art after a few years of aimlessness, realizing that it had been my true passion all along.
My inspiration comes from the beauty and the flaws of the world around us, and my art reflects the intersection of these two attributes that go hand in hand. Many of my pieces use materials that humans have taken from nature and would dispose of as waste and instead return them to their natural beauty.
